VE Day Street Party in the Park

This free event is being held at the Memorial Field to celebrate “Victory in Europe” on May 8th 1945. It is being sponsored by Paddock Wood Town Council and organised primarily by Heritage Paddock Wood. There will be stalls, a 40s style fancy dress parade, classic cars, military vehicles amd a raffle. There will be live entertainment throughout the afternoon.

10.30 AM March from St Andrew’s Church to the War Memorial

10.50AM Service at War Memorial, with two minute silence and laying of wreaths

Once again our town will come together on Remembrance Day to join with the Country and Commonwealth in remerbering those who gave their lives, for freedom and justice, and those who bear the scars of war.
