Explore Paddock Wood Old Closed Churchyard

As part of Heritage Open Days Heritage Paddock Wood has organised for volunteers to be in the old closed churchyard on this day to tell you about some of the people buried there.

This was the site of the original St Andrew’s Church built from Kentish Ragstone but destroyed by a bomb during World War Two. Here along with much more you will find the grave of Dorothy Dickens, the resting place of two murder victims from 1940 (Dorothy and Freda Fisher) as well as war graves from both World War 1 and World War 2.
